Jasmiina's 1½-birthday, best day ever

Actually today is our (6th) wedding anniversary as well. :) But now it's always two celebrations in one, because it's also Jasmiina's half-birthday (which, it seems, we are celebrating.. Interesting, for how long?). Can't believe she's already 1,5 years old!.. Somehow this lest half a year has rushed by in a second, because up until very recently I was sure she's just a bit over 1 year old..

Also, it's kind of a milestone for us, because Adelaide was around this age, when Jasmiina was born, and I remember how she was quite well.. Adelaide seemed older and more mature, I'm not sure why.. Well, she was talking more (I was shocked, when looked back at my article on how much she was talking at 1,5), Jasmiina hasn't had a big jump in language development for some time, though I think it is starting now, because she has been getting some new words in the last few days.
Maybe it's a 2nd child thing, life is rushing by in a lot quicker pace and I don't have all the time in the world to concentrate in only her (as it was with the first child), so in some way I feel like she's still just a baby.. Until the moments, when she totally surprises me with how smart and big she already is, how perfectly she understands everything and is interacting like a big girl, no baby anymore.
But don't take it as a negative thing, at least for us I see everyday, how cool it is to have these two, that they have each other, exactly now, with the age gap that they do. Their life is so fun! Adelaide always has an audience, and Jasmiina has an entertainer, and sometimes the other way around. They totally have their own jokes already (there are some weird made up words that Adelaide says, so that Jasmiina would laugh.. And then Jasmiina laughs.. and many times over and over, and over again :).

Jasmiina has a crazy laugh, if you've met her, you'll know what I mean. :D She has been like that since the beginning.. Smiling and laughing a lot. Even though at first, like when she meets someone for the very first time or we're in a new place, she can be also very serious and observing. But once she's comfortable, she's super fun.
She is surprisingly independent. Again, she might want to keep close and be in our lap at first, but when she's enjoying herself, she is all on her own, running after Adelaide or other children, totally on her own. I'm surprised how social she is, in the parties and gatherings that we've had lately with lots of people, she has been enjoying it a lot, running around and having lots of fun.

If about her language, then she has somewhere around 10 words, which is totally fine for this age. She had some already at 1 year old, and as I said, there hasn't been an overly big jump in that, I guess she has been developing physically and and in other ways meanwhile more.  The words are in both languages, even with so few words she is already bilingual, because she goes to Mr. Husband and says: sülle! sülle! And then (if not being lifted up) comes to me and says: opā! opā! :)

So her words:
Estonian:
sülle (in lap)
aitäh (thank you)
alla (down)
anna (give)
päike (sun)
peitu (hide)
emme (mom)

In both:
kaka (poo)

In Latvian:
opā (in lap)
dzert (drink)
ārā (outside)
zeķe (sock)

So these are kind of the ones she's has been using regularly. (Päike and zeķe are newer.) But she's saying some others that kind of resemble - Adelaide, pupiņš.. And is trying to repeat words often, so I believe a new wave of language development is in front of us.

We also just visited our doctor, who weighted and measured both girls.

Jasmiina is:

11,7 kg and
83 cm tall.

And Adelaide is:

14,3 kg and
96 cm tall.

I have been measuring their feet often (because they need new shoes like all. the. time.), Jasmiina's foot is around 14,5 cm and she's wearing size 24 already and Adelaide's foot is around 15,5 cm and she's wearing size 25. Adelaide's shoes go straight for Jasmiina now.. Maybe sometime they'll wear the same size.
Once a few weeks ago some people first time thought they were twins! Just for a second, I guess, because they weren't right next to each other, but that might happen more in the future, considering that Jasmiina is bigger boned.

And Jasmiina has 16 teeth. :)

After this little update, back to our amazing day. We wanted to celebrate it.. Just us, with a down to earth event, so we decided we're gonna go and have a picnic at a beautiful place near the beach. :)
We didn't get the place most closest to the sea, but actually it was for the best, because today was not a very warm day, cold at the sea, but where we were, it was so nice and warm.

These type of days are really my most, most favorite. Us being together, at a lovely location surrounded by nature, good and simple food.. It was fun. And a perfect way to celebrate with children.
