Kamapallid and swings

Somehow the life is going fast and slow at the same time. We don't seem to do much, but the days fly by so quickly. So not so many blog posts.

Last week actually we did quite much.. It was a social week, we had quite a few playdates, which is nice. I have wanted to have more friends for Adelaide, and at the moment I can't complain that there wouldn't be enough of people to meet up with.
It is nice to socialize a bit, to change the environment, see different people, different homes and different toys.. Adelaide, naturally for her age, still mostly plays on her own with all the new and interesting stuff, not with the other children, but she does still interact a little bit, and as she is not going to any kindergarten (and is not going to, for a long long time at least), then it's good to slowly learn about interacting with other children. She does it quite well, of course there is the taking away toys from others and that kind of stuff, but nothing that wouldn't be quite normal, and she adapts to the situation well enough. Sometimes there are babies that she takes toys away from, and other times there are older children who don't let her to take stuff, so she is learning about different situations and different children. I also think, that having a sister has already taught her something about these things.

At home the days are quite calm, Adelaide enjoys reading books again, as we got her some new ones. One, for example, is In The Town All Year Round, which I thought was kinda expensive, but I saw so many people having and liking it, that we got it, and now I see that the price was totally worth it, it has so many pages, it will be interesting for years and years..

Basically right now it's - practical life, books, dolls, singing, drawing, going outside.. Simple and nice, and what it's all about.

Adelaide loves kamapallid (little cereal balls, made from kama, which is Estonian national roasted flour mix, possibly also from rye), they are a healthy and good snack with a crunch, and fun too. So, even if we don't put that much focus on all kinds of specially made activities, the work and education is everywhere. Adelaide has her own jar of these balls on her counter, she opens them and fills the bowl, either with hands or possibly there's a nice chance for some scooping work.

She also sometimes is making kama for herself (the flour version) - pouring a cup of kefir or yogurt, spooning in the kama flour and then mixing it.

Another activity that Adelaide likes.. She has noticed, that I'm making pictures all the time. :D And I have shown her the picture that is seen in the camera. So she has started to bring me things to take pictures of.. Once she brought me like 10 things in a row and I had to photograph them all. :)

When it comes to outside, then Adelaide is obsessed with swings and swinging. She finds them everywhere.. On Sunday we went to Tallinn, to church again, and later to a huge playground.. Adelaide was pretty cautious and took a long time to go to the slide, which she actually has liked before, but the swings she liked immediately and tried them all.

Last Saturday we spent mostly outside, trying to start some gardening.. And Adelaide opened the sandbox season. What can I say, she likes mud. :D

And Jasmiina is such a happy little baby. :) Moving more and more, smiling all the time..
