She's moving forward!

For some weeks now it seemed she was almost moving forward while in the big bed, being naked. Last weekend she seemed to have pulled herself forward (while grabbing onto something). But really.. while on the floor, she had been only rotating (around her own axis), sometimes reaching sideways..

But yesterday! Unbelievable.. I actually saw her pull herself forward. On a bare floor. And managed to catch it on a video too:

It seems our easy days are soon to be over. :) Same time, for now it seems better, because she can entertain herself on the floor for quite a long time..

One interesting thing - Adelaide is not rolling over anymore at all. She seems to have totally forgotten, how to do it! (If I wouldn't have it on video, I wouldn't believe she sometime was able to do it..)

As she is developing in other ways, I'm not worried about it.. Some babies are not rolling over at all.

And - we gave her a taste of pumpkin yesterday! :) Had some good Hiiumaa pumpkin, that I was cooking for ourselves, so made a tiny bit for her too.. I made it both in pieces and pureed, but the pieces were either too hard or too soft, and I am honestly a little bit afraid of giving too hard pieces to her, as she is not sitting yet (so maybe she is too little for fingerfood?), anyway, but she loved it!

She was grabbing the spoon out of my hands and putting it into her mouth. (Our baby is able to use a spoon! :D) And she seemed to be very satisfied with the little bit of liquid pumpkin that got into her mouth as well. Almost all of it actually did end up in her mouth and she swallowed it. It seemed she could have had more.

So.. It looks like our baby is ready for solid food. I will continue sometimes giving her taste of some food, but not on a regular basis yet.

But we do have to get some "tools".. Like, decide, what dishes and spoon to use (I would like to use a proper metal spoon and iron or ceramic dishes instead of plastic), and definitely need a bib. It was really fun cleaning up the pumpkin from all around afterwards. ;)

Meanwhile.. :)
