A great experience

We visited a physiotherapist today. He was suggested to us by my Husband's sister in September, when some people thought that Adelaide's toes are too tense.

I haven't talked much about health issues here, mostly because Adelaide is (thank God!) healthy, and also because it is a weird subject, where people lately have very different opinions of what is healthy and good, and what is not.
I am not the type of parent, who is stressing a lot, looking for problems and going to doctors a lot. (Of course I would, if there would be an actual problem..)
Surprisingly, I have been quite calm, believing that everything is fine with our baby.

I thought also then, that probably she is fine, but just in case I did book a time with this physiotherapist, that he would really check, if she is as good as she can be, as some tension in the body can delay physical development in babies.

I was a bit sceptical, when going there. I thought he will find some problem and then make us go there for some extra visits or something, to earn more money. (It's not a cheap place, 35 € for a visit.)

But it was an amazing experience!!! Stepping out of his office, me and Husband both were stunned for a moment.. and then said: WOW..

It was so amazing, that it changed my view of life for a while. :D

Probably, because lately (as I have also written here) I have gotten a little bit disappointed with doctors and other healthcare specialists, not only from my own experience, but from other people's stories as well.

But today I saw a talented, devoted specialist, who is truly excited and passionate about his work and helping people, who has a true gift for what he does and a true wish to do it.
It seriously changed my view of the field again, in some way exciting me even about my own profession. :D Because as it turns out.. There is still Good out there. :)

He had a great connection with Adelaide (she really likes men and men with beards :D), he checked her all out, really from head to toe, all kinds of ways, seeing, what she does and how.. No point to explain much, he had some remarks, small things, like that she has a bit of asymmetry, for example, she stands more on one leg, not both, also her upper body is stronger than her legs, she doesn't pull her legs under her body like she maybe should.
He showed us two exercises that we can do to help her a bit.
But those were really minor things, overally he said that she is a perfect and healthy baby, that there is no reason to come to see him more.

Interesting thing, he also said that the way she is pulling herself forward does actually count as crawling! :) Because she does use all of her body for that, and there are 100 different ways that babies can crawl.

So we can be happy and peaceful now, knowing, that everything is perfect with our baby. But the visit was definitely worth it! I would really suggest it to anyone, even just to check, and even more so, if there seems to be any problem, where a physiotherapist might help.

He was really awesome, and his name is Mikk Pärn, at Steliise Erakliinik.

..and on other subject, Adelaide got some flowers yesterday! :) She liked them a lot.
