Productive weekend
This was a nice weekend. And today is so nice too.. Sun is shining, birds are singing, spring is here, so we can spend all day outside, if want to, there is time to do some nice things.. what more can you wish for? :)
Does spring have something to do with enhanced creativity? Because I remember that also last year exactly around this time I had it in me to sew something for Adelaide and even myself. And now again. I made a skirt for Adelaide and have big sewing plans for the future..
Probably it does have something to do with the sunshine. In the dark winter evenings I'm low on energy.. But now really feel like doing something.
While I was sewing and Jasmiina was sleeping, Mr. Husband was doing some work in our garden. Adelaide is so happy and independent outside, she was playing for almost 2 hours in the sandbox totally on her own, later went to help in the garden, digging up the soil and being excited about worms that she found.
On Sunday we had a friend visiting with a girl who is a month younger than Adelaide. We used to meet often, but sadly (to us) she has gone to work now and the little girl is going to kindergarten, so there isn't much free time to meet. It's interesting to observe these little ones interacting. Adelaide acts totally differently around different children. She adapts to each child's personality, I guess. In this case Adelaide was quite pushy and bossy, not in a bad way, but she is socializing with a high energy, has a lot of ideas, is brave and demanding. We had to tell her to not grab the toys from the other girl. Of course, at this age they don't have to share. But it also means, that she has to slowly learn, that the other girl is playing with something at the moment and if she doesn't want to share, then Adelaide has to wait a bit for her turn.
And today is a beautiful day and we took a crazily long walk around our village with our amazingly cool neighbors. It was a walk of 5-6 km and Adelaide walked at least half of it on her own! For some moments she was standing on the Buggy Board, but she would rather walk on her own. The other children were running around and she seemed to have so much fun following them and exploring the nature around us. Oh, and we also had a little picnic outside. :) Adelaide loved it.
