Vacation!
On this very, very hot day Mr. Husband's vacation has started!
I am so, so happy about it.. As it will be my vacation as well. :) Somehow lately life has been quite exhausting.. Adelaide is becoming more and more, hm, interesting. Has new fun skills. And sleeps, it seems, less and less.. At least to put her to sleep during the day is a struggle. Lately she actually has even slept inside, in the bed! First time ever. She was sleeping kinda same long as in the stroller, hour, hour and half.. I hear about children sleeping 3 hours during the day, and it makes me so jeleous. :) But I guess she has quite a long night sleep, at least 12 hours, sometimes 13, tonight it was 14h! (We all slept in..)
As for her new skills.. If it used to be possible to get some daily chores done along with her, then it's getting harder and harder, if not impossible. It's not really possible to water tomatoes in the greenhouse anymore, as she is just pulling everything she can to, and it puts our tomatoes in real danger. :)
She has started to open doors of the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen.. She kinda was able to do it already a long, long time ago. But in the kitchen they open quite hard, and she hadn't done it much. Well, now it has started.
She opens the door to the trashcan.. First time I saw it, I was actually quite surprised, as she had some piece of something in her hand and was going to the trashcan. Opened the door, threw it out, and closed the door. Wow! :) We hadn't thought or even showed it to her.. She just had observed it herself.
The problem starts, as she is starting to pull the trash out as well.. Or starting to throw out things that aren't trash.
I guess we could put some baby-locks there.. Kinda don't want to much, as I like her independence and taking part in the home life.. Will see, how horrible it will become.
But we started the vacation quite calmly at home. It was HOT! The nice part was, when we went for a walk.. To check out one of the nearby lakes (not the one we usually go to), wow, the swim was so nice.. (Adelaide was sleeping in the stroller.) It actually had quite a children friendly beach. And then we picked some wild strawberries on the way. :) She likes them a lot.
