Summer
While we are counting days as Adelaide's big 1st birthday is approaching, summer has arrived. Actually all May has been wonderfully warm, but today we got hit by a real heat wave, so I finally brought some water outside for her.
We actually have ordered a children's pool for her, but it hasn't arrived yet. So for now Stokke flexibath was just fine. She was anyway not interested in getting into the water, just playing with it and smashing around.
At the end of the video she got scared of a plane. For some reason she for a while now is really, really scared of them. When she was younger, she didn't care or notice at all. I guess it has to do with her discovering the world more and starting to realize, what are normal situations and what are not..
Same time, I wish she would get over it, as planes flying over our house is quite a daily thing (we live near an air-force base).
When the dress got totally wet, I even found her cute swimsuit.
I wanted to write, that there is nothing much new around here, when actually.. We just realize every day (especially, when taking pictures of her), that she has grown so unbelievably much in like a last month. She is so smart and funny. Her walking is getting better and better. She doesn't even mind walking outside on the grass, which is quite uneven, it looks quite funny, as she falls a lot and then lifts up again (looks like a little drunk person :D).
It's hard to describe the certain skills she has gained, or what has changed exactly.. As it is complex. All of her. All of her has grown.
Well, for example.. She already helps me to empty the dishwasher! Wants to take out spoons, knives (not the sharp ones) and forks and pass them to me, as I put them in the cupboard. I let her pass even the plates last time.
She helps us out in the garden works. Sometimes in the opposite way, but who cares.. :D
We are spending all day, every day outside lately. She is happier and more independent there. Her extremely clingy phase is still going on, I guess, but it's a bit easier to cope with it, when we spend a lot of time outside.
