Latvian Independence Day
Today is Latvian Independence Day, so happy 98th birthday to Latvia! :)
Sadly we here don't have a free day.. It would be nice to go out somewhere all together. Perhaps, when children are a bit older.. I will go with them somewhere for a special occasion, like a museum, concert or something, they do have something happening here in Estonia as well.
But we did have a celebration breakfast, I made a cake.. Actually, one of the best cakes ever! (Rye bread - apple and cranberry - with whipped cream.)
It was a good occasion to finally wear a hair-clip in Latvian colors, that Adelaide received as a gift. :)
And she was picking off the cranberries (child likes cranberries!) from the cake, so cute! :) And the whipped cream doesn't taste bad either..
