Visiting the Paradise Island
Finally - real spring (almost want to say - summer!) is here and we could get out of the routine! Sometimes really need it, and the afterwards feeling is great - and happy to be back home. :)
We had a long weekend, visiting Mr. Husband's home island Hiiumaa.
She really is an adventurer.
I really like the ferry rides with her. We don't go too often, maybe every couple of months, and I just remember all of those with her - each has been so entirely different! It works for me like a pin point - remembering the last ferry ride, I seriously realize, how fast she grows and changes!
This time was the most fun time ever, naturally. She was not afraid at all! She mostly wanted to just be on the floor - and if we would let her be, she would crawl away and check, what is in other people's pockets and purses..
So it's little bit of a struggle. On the way back we decided to check out the play corner. Oh yay.. One thing is clear - a new life for us has began - one that we will be spending in all kinds of playgrounds and play corners.. :D (Lets hope not.)
Actually it was fun - she enjoyed it a lot. There were balls, really many balls (like the ones you can swim in) and there were children, who were throwing them and screaming. Adelaide loves other children (older ones), they don't care much about her though. :)
She could spend all the time there and didn't need us much at all.
I took the video, when most of the kids had left. She was going in and out the house and once even climbed up the stairs (had to fetch her). Oh yes, this is a thing now - at Husband's parents house she crawled up the stairs to the 2nd floor with no problem at all! (We were right behind her, of course.) But it's trouble as well - had to keep stairs carefully locked. We have stairs at our home as well, but we don't use the 2nd floor daily (Mr. Husband's office is there now) and our stairs are really quite dangerous and not children-friendly, I honestly have no idea, how and when will we teach her to use them..
(Yes, the ferry and the play corner is really old a kinda yucky. Because of political drama some really old ferries are operating, until new and fancy ones come in October (hopefully). She didn't mind at all.)
But the view is great.
On the spot we managed to have some nice time - even had a walk outside in Kärdla, which is especially cute in spring..
Adelaide played some piano.
Otherways there was some work to get done. And for me it was a bit exhausting to deal with Adelaide all day long, as the home is not child-proofed, and she always got or wanted something that she couldn't have.. It's so much better and easier to have the house made suitable for children.
Oh yes. And one more - most important thing perhaps - she has started to make her first steps independently! I wasn't sure before, but this weekend it was for sure - she was making a couple of quick steps, maybe 3 or 4, while getting from one place to hold on to another! :) So walking is near?
Have no video of that, as it happens unexpectedly.
And here is a tired baby after all the travelling.. I must say - she was managing it amazingly! Especially car rides. Last time, when we went out, we got a bit worried, as she was not happy in the car, but - thank God - that was just one time. Now she was happy, sleeping mostly, but even enjoying it, when awake. :) Even in our rear facing car seat. ;)
Oh, and a side-effect of the weekend.. All the perfect daily routine that we had going on for months already, is just gone! :) Ok, let's hope we get it back quickly..
