Weekend fun

What weekend?! :D Weekend was forever ago!
But yes, life as it is.. with Adelaide, our fun almost-1-year-old, who is learning to walk, is so full and rich, that there is no time and energy to document life events. ;)
The ones, who have or have had a fresh toddler hanging in their leg all day, will understand..

However, we managed to get out of the house a bit.. And visited Adelaide's grandparents and some family and friends in Latvia.

And wow.. The weekend! It was amazing! :) Little princess was getting so much of undivided attention - all for her - that she was happy all the time. No signs of the needy, screaming child, just having fun and exploring the world. Nice rest for me too.. Sadly, too short.

She had fun with her aunt and uncle in Riga, surprisingly even slept like an angel in the noisy Riga's streets..
And at the country, the favorite part were the cats. She could chase them all day long. Went outside as well, and she discovered a water tap!

We also were meeting some of her little friends - babies, also born in June. This time it was a small party, only 5 babies. At this point Adelaide was a bit tired, I guess, already, and the crowded environment perhaps was a bit stressful. She still enjoyed it - other babies, but especially all kinds of interesting new toys, that she hadn't seen before.

She also got her first shoes! From muki.lv shop - barefoot concept Little Blue Lamb shoes. (Actually they are not exactly Little Blue Lamb, but I guess something close.)

We are very satisfied with them! At first, when we put them on, she was protesting a little - what is this on my feet?! But once we explained, how cute they are, she was fine with them. :) They fit perfectly. Soft and comfortable shoe. And she could walk immediately as well, as without them! (Sometimes children have problem or refuse to walk, when shoes have been put on..)

Oh yes.. And she is walking now. She surprised us during the weekend with a sudden progress in walking! She would walk across the room.. With not much problem at all.
She is practicing all the time now, preferring walking over crawling now, if she can, of course, still quite unstable and sitting back down a lot. Still, she's a walker now!

Funny, that it's impossible to take a video of that.. :D She walks. Once I take the camera, she sits. Oh, well, sometime.
