Splashing in the puddles - MyMayu (Review)!

Finally they're here! :) A little while ago (actually they came surprisingly fast from Canada) we made a decision, as the wet and rainy weather has surprised us early this year, to buy first rubber boots for Adelaide. And not just any boots..
Because in the usual bulky rubber boots it can be hard and uncomfortable for a child, especially little one, who recently has learned to walk, to walk, run.. some might refuse to really walk in them, and even if they do, they tend to walk like they'd have two buckets on their feet. And well, that's how it must feel..

As so far we have tried to get Adelaide shoes that fit the barefoot concept more or less, we made the decision to buy her the famous MyMayu rubber boots - Muddy Munchkins - even though they are a bit pricey, but we want her to be able to explore freely and comfortably, and we like how multi-functional they can be (meaning - used in pretty much any weather).

And yesterday they came, and today it was (still) raining a bit, so perfect opportunity to go find some puddles. :)
(She hasn't almost every really played in puddles, as it hadn't been raining much since she is a walker.)

Let's say - the boots were doing the job perfectly, and she seemed to love it. :)

So we are really happy with our purchase and with the choice of MyMayu. :)

Surprisingly, it's like the only company that makes boots of such concept (they have a rubber sole and the rest of the boot from a water resistant fabric).
So far we have used Stonz booties for cooler evenings, and even though otherways great, Stonz are not waterproof at all.

I had heard that Muddy Munchkins are not bound to be totally waterproof too - they might let some water through (another possibility to buy even more expensive Explorer MyMayu, that should be more waterproof), so I was interested to come back inside and see... and her socks were totally dry! So they are great.

We chose the Black Cat design :)

  1. Ours were water-proof at the beginning too, even in much deeper puddles, but soon it has changed and also the picture started to wear off...
