Everyday life
Apart from new toy shelves, how are we doing and how is our life going?
It's going nicely.. We have had many calm weeks, mostly being just home. With not so calm weekends, when having guests over. But that has been nice too.
Yesterday we had visitors, also Adelaide's little friend, who was born just 16 hours after her, pretty much in the next room of the hospital. We hadn't seen them since then, and it was so interesting to see another baby that is exactly as old as Adelaide, and how different they are. I observed also interesting little differences in how we are parenting.
She got also a really cute present.. This Bonnie (Mr. Husband asked, how are we going to call her, and now I found that her name is Bonnie..) from Mamas & Papas:
It is super cute and Adelaide loved it! It was all chewed totally soaking wet in a couple of hours..
It has all kinds of interesting textures, for sensory development, makes nice sounds (like a bell, and a rattle), and it's really nice quality.
So if you need to get gift for someone, Mamas & Papas seems a good way to go.
Adelaide continuously loves the cat.. She is his biggest fan! :) And she loves daddy too.
What else is new?
She is happy, smiling and laughing. Sometimes playing on her own.. Sometimes getting frustrated.
Weird thing is, she has only one day sleep left! Don't know, why.. But she wakes up around 9:00, and goes to sleep at 12:00 (outside in the stroller), sleeps there for 4 hours. And then is awake from 16:00 to 20:00, and then still doesn't want to fall asleep..
Yes, she doesn't want to fall asleep and doesn't sleep very well lately at night.
Tonight was good - I could sleep for 3 hours, from 1 to 4 (am), and the rest of the time she was waking up every hour. :D (It's fun..) Wanting to nurse, of course.
I'm hoping it's a phase and it will pass..
Two things I have heard: you can't want it all - if a baby is sleeping well during the night, then not during the day, and other way around. We have the day sleeper then.
And other thing - no baby is a good sleeper always. The ones, that are good sleepers at first, start sleeping worse at some point, and other way around. She did sleep very well as a newborn, so now we can enjoy some fun finally. ;)
