What's under the Christmas tree? :)

Happy 3rd (already!) Advent! :) Christmas is coming.. coming soon!

No, we don't literally have a Christmas tree yet. ;) (I am not supporting such thing - to get the tree a month before. :D I think you use up the Christmas feeling before time then. We are going to get it only a couple of days before Christmas. However, then we have it until like February.. :D )

But the gifts have been taken care of early this year. Especially for Adelaide.

From us she is going to get a - baby doll cradle (the initial thought was, that Mr. Husband would make it himself, but then we found exactly the kind I had in mind, made in Estonia, of a good quality and reasonable price. Of course, there isn't then the additional value of being self-made.. But he has already so many things on the list to make for Adelaide!.. That we went for this one, it's so cute..), I sewed the mattress and a pillow, and knitted a blanket. And also we got her a baby doll (you could say, the anatomically correct doll, as it goes in Montessori). Even though Adelaide already has a couple of dolls (who she loves), it still seemed a good idea to get her one that looks exactly like a baby..
And all in all, of course, the idea for this gift came from the fact, that Mommy is going to have a baby, and Adelaide is going to have her baby. We also have a cradle, the Stokke day bed, and Adelaide, hopefully, can take care of her baby.. Put her to sleep, feed her, maybe even babywear her.. Change diapers? We'll see.

Another thing that I've wanted for her, and she is going to get from Mr. Husband's family is - the animal figurines!
These are great for toddlers, as they usually love animals, Adelaide really does. It's great to have them not only in 2D in the books, but also 3D. :)
We didn't get Schleich or other fancy expensive ones (the price for Schleich is just insane), I was looking for other options, still wanting good enough ones - they should be realistic and detailed enough (to look like the actual animal), and also in the right size ratios (and even Schleich is not perfect in that). These are quite good, I think! We got a couple of sets, there are 20 different animals, mostly exotic, but also one set of farm animals.. As I think it would be way too many at once for Adelaide, at first she is going to get only 6, some of her favorite ones - cat, dog, cow, horse, hippo and camel. It will be so interesting to see, how will she like them! Then, slowly I will add some more, probably with some theme.. I also am planning to make her some matching games (matching a picture of the animal with the figurine), then I will need to see, which I have available.

And she might get also a really nice xylophone from her Godparents. :) Perhaps, something like this one! I have dreamed about a good xylophone for her forever now. Music is important to us, and she does seem to like her other musical instruments, this one will be already more advanced.

Who knows, maybe she gets something more.. But I hope she will be happy and enjoy her gifts. :)
