Christmas Joy
Merry Christmas! :)
But the angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news
that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been
born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
Luke 2:10-11
Christmas 2016 is slowly passing.. And it has been a wonderful one at our home. :) Thanks to our amazing Adelaide. She has been so happy and enjoying everything!
It was a traditional Christmas Eve at our home, similar as for the last couple of years. Only this time Mr. Husband (nor I) wasn't singing with our church choir, as he is taking a break. We still went to the church to listen the Christmas concert as well as the Christmas service. Last year I was there with 6-months old Adelaide, and must say - it was a lot easier back then. :) Adelaide really enjoys music, she liked the concert a lot - saying more, more! after each song. However, it was disturbing some people, and also she wasn't willing to sit still for more than 15-20 minutes.
Of course, differently from last years we had Adelaide's Godparents spending Christmas with us.
After the church we had a Christmas dinner.. And then opening the presents with songs and poems.
Must say, we nailed it with all of Adelaide's gifts! She really, really loved them all! Starting with the animal figurines.. She immediately recognized all of the animals, and was taking them one by one out of the box and lining them on the floor, then putting them back..
She also got a nice book from Grandmother..
And the xylophone, that she loved immediately, and has ever since! Playing it all the time..
It's not a traditional xylophone in one piece, but so-called chime bars, they are separate. Decided to go for these, and it seems to have been a good idea, as they offer so much more activity! She could not only play it (and it makes amazing sound, as it is actually not a toy, but a professional instrument). but also take it apart, line it up and so much more.. I think, in the future we can invent all kinds of cool ways, how to learn music with it.
And for the last we had saved the baby doll with a cradle, and she loved it immediately too. :) Adorable.
Must say, this brings such an extra joy - seeing her genuine happiness for these things. :)
