Firsts!

While we are still enjoying our vacation in Latvia.. Jasmiina is making some firsts! A whole bunch of new achievements!

I already have written, that she discovered her toes. That is her main position now, she can spend quite a long time playing with her feet, rolling from one side to the other and taking off her own socks. :)
(Still no rolling over to her belly, but.. almost. Actually I also remembered.. actually I read it on this blog, that our physiotherapist had said with Adelaide, that it's normal and common to not roll over in the time, when they're busy with toe-catching. It's just such an exciting new phase. There is no motivation really to roll. But soon there will be.)

But exactly on Midsummer's.. first teeth emerged!!! :) It was obvious, that they were coming out any moment, almost shining through.. But exactly on 23rd I could finally feel two tiny little sharp dots out of her gums. :) Her being just a week short of 6 month old, that is. (Adelaide got her first teeth like 2 weeks before her 6 month birthday, so almost at the same time.) BUT! It feels like the ones Jasmiina is having (and today I can feel them already a bit better than yesterday) are not in the bottom middle, like it traditionally should be..! It really feels like they are more on the side, hard to say yet, which ones exactly. Interesting. :) Of course, I googled, and it shouldn't be anything bad, if they come out in an unusual order.. But it's interesting.

Naturally, she is chewing on everything and constantly.. and very hard.

Jasmiina has also learned to blow bubbles.. Which she has totally learned from us, because we did it first and she found it amusing, so we did it some more and she started copying us. :D And is very visibly proud of her achievement. (Again, I remember Adelaide doing exactly the same thing at exactly 6 months.)

And then..! Just today! I am shocked, but she started moving.. backwards!
She enjoys hanging out on her belly, pushing up, looking around, finding toys or anything else interesting nearby.. And today she was pushing so hard, that suddenly she wasn't there, where we had put her.., but almost half a meter back! :) And she did it for a couple of times in a row.
I actually remember something.. From Adelaide's baby-times, that it can be common to start moving backwards first, and only then forward.
So our little Jasmiina is starting to really move..

Also we had our doctor's check-up just a few days ago. And Jasmiina is already

8,850 kg and
69,5 cm.

Which means, that she has gained 540 g and grown 1,5 cm in about a month and a half.
I think now she is gaining more than Adelaide did at this age, so she is becoming comparingly bigger. Adelaide was more mobile already. Anyway, I got annoyed again with our doctor, but that's old news.

Jasmiina is such an adorable and happy baby! Smiles all day long.. And we have fun times ahead as well, I can't believe she will be already half a year old just in a few days!
