Rainy days

Yesterday and today it's wet and rainy outside. There also was such weather a bit before Adelaide's birthday..
So we are mostly inside. It's hard to drag myself out in this kind of a weather (Adelaide wants to go, if I ask her), but once I do.. It's actually really nice outside. We don't go out, when it's raining a lot, but if only a bit, then just put our rain clothes on and off we go. While Jasmiina naps in the stroller.
If in good weather we mostly are in our yard, swinging and sliding, maybe doing some gardening or visiting the neighbors.. Then in this kind of rainy weather we just go for a walk. And Adelaide loves that!
We used to go for a walk every single day for about half a year.. Until Jasmiina was born. Soon after that we changed our routine a bit, and Adelaide also wasn't interested in our usual route anymore. Now we sometimes go another way, which is not very long, but there are fun things that she likes all the way. Today we did too.

She has to step in every single puddle, naturally.

She is always so excited to go walk, that she runs half of the way. :) I must say, she is running quite fast already!

Being out with her is really.. Like they say, eye-opening. I learn to appreciate every tiny thing again - pick up the flower (and yes, it's mostly fine to pick them up and examine (of even give a taste), unless it's in someone's precious garden), follow the snail.. She squished her first snail, but I talk and teach to be gentle with living beings, and she is. Today we saw a frog too.

Then we return to our yard, check and water our greenhouse, Adelaide loves watering and she actually is doing a great job with that.

Seriously, best part of my day, these walks. :)

For the rest of the time we're mostly reading. And singing. I haven't written about it in the blog much, but Adelaide's musical side has totally opened in the last couple of weeks. She started singing herself (all the songs.. She knew the lyrics before, but now she sings them with some melody), she wants me to sing all day long, and sometimes we listen to the music. (Oh yeah, she had her first screen time - we watched a symphony in youtube!)

Rainy days are ok, but I can't wait for summer to be back again. :)
