Little things

We had planned to go to Tartu and Peipsi this weekend, but our cat was pretending, that he is sick... (Which he clearly isn't, at least not anymore.. Look at him climbing trees today!)

So we are spending a calm weekend at home.
Little one is learning to control her hands and trying to grab the hanging Montessori-style toy:

(It should be some simple wooden ring or a bell, hung above her. I just used a wooden toy we had.)
She sometimes hits it with her hand, and is quite surprised. But these things make her so super-excited and frustrated at once. :)

And she loooves to look at herself in the mirror. ;)

We have a Montessori play corner for her in the living room. Meaning - a carpet and a mirror by it. The plan is to add the Montessori shelves with some toys later. (The mirror could be by the floor bed, but we don't use one, as we are doing co-sleeping, and the floors in this climate are too cold for sleeping, I think.)

And once we went out (to an apartment-warming party of a family member). She doesn't mind the social events, she quite enjoys them, as long as is close to us.
