Testing the new boots in Saaremaa
This cold and windy weekend we got to go to Saaremaa.
I love Saaremaa!.. This was my 3rd time there, first time we went almost exactly 2 years ago - in same golden autumn as now - when I had just gotten pregnant with Adelaide. Those are some nice memories.. :) Another time was last summer, when she was less than 1 month old..
Saaremaa is quite a big island, so there is a lot to see, it has such a beautiful nature (which reminds me of Latvia, it definitely is more southern than where we live), it is so cute with neat houses, rock fences and old churches everywhere..
This is at Muhu church (Muhu is a smaller island, now connected to Saaremaa).
The weather was seriously cold. So it was a perfect time for Adelaide to test her new boots, which I wrote about in my last post!
And the boots seem to be just perfect! She didn't seem to have any problem with them. She fell a couple of times (but she falls sometimes even with Stonz), but overally she could run, she could move.. she seemed comfortable. :) They also seemed to be very warm. (We didn't get to test the waterproof quality, thankfully it was at least dry.)
As you can see in this video, she was enjoying it. :)
It wasn't exactly a free weekend - actually Mr. Husband had it busy with choir stuff - but I got to drive around with Adelaide on Saturday, and on Sunday after church we could spend a little nice together-time in Kuressaare..
This was at Kohvik Retro, where we had a big lunch.. The interior and atmosphere, and the service were great, the food.. not so great.
For Adelaide we always order a soup. She loves soups. She ate the whole bowl empty herself!
I really was hoping to get (probably the last chance this year) to enjoy some beautiful Golden Autumn.. And Kuressaare was the right place to do that. Lovely!
There was quite a nice playground as well. Adelaide was napping at that time, so she didn't get to try it..
This is Kuressaare St. Laurence church, where our choir was singing..
On our way back we stopped by another amazing church - Kaarma church - one of the oldest, with apparently the oldest known writing in Estonian (from year 1407) on it's wall..
While we were sightseeing, this is how she was napping..
And another place we visited, one that we somehow had missed until now, even though it's one of the most popular and a must-see in Saaremaa - the Kaali meteorite crater.. (Where an actual meteorite has fallen.)
It was such an enjoyable weekend.. :) Adelaide was so fun to be with!
