To the Kuristu Zoo!

Adelaide loves animals. :) In the books. And of course, if she is lucky enough to see (or even just hear) some somewhere, she is super happy. Like, if we see a dog outside. Or birds. Or a couple of times there have been ducks in the river, she was so excited!
And as we are looking so much at different animals in her books, I suddenly got a spontaneous idea, that we should go to some zoo - but some small farm one, where she could actually see the animals close and perhaps even touch them. And Mr. Husband exactly has an acquaintance, who does own such a farm zoo, and even quite close to our home - Kuristu Zoo!

So we decided to go, still before the new baby arrives (oh yes, we're still in one piece), and for me it felt like a nice thing we can do still with just Adelaide. :)
Adelaide's godparents came already at Friday to stay with us at least until Christmas, they have so kindly agreed to be Adelaide's babysitters, once we have to go give birth.. And today we went to the zoo all together.

And it was so nice! From all the zoo's we have been with Adelaide, I liked this one the best. :) It was small, cozy family place, nice farm animals, that you can see up close and feed.. Of course, it might be even nicer at summer, but even now it was cool and Adelaide liked it a lot too! I definitely suggest this place for anyone with small children.

There were goats and sheep..

And really cute bunnies!

And really huge and freaky-looking turkey!

Different kinds of chicken and roosters, and other birds as well..
And ponies. It is also possible to ride them.

And some loud geese. There were also pigs.. and guinea-pigs.

At first Adelaide was a bit shocked - seeing real, live animals! Then she enjoyed feeding them.. Here she is feeding the sheep:

In the end she was already overwhelmed of so many new impressions.. And was saying: bye, bye goat! :D to all of them, and wanted to go away.

But then she noticed something, that she wanted to return to.. (There is also a playground and some toys for children at this zoo.) ;)

This was a cool day, and we definitely are going there again sometime.. :)
