Mardi Gras and little friends
Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras :)
In Estonian it is Vastlapäev, and I made, already annual, traditional buns with whipped cream! (Split pea soup as well..)
There should be a tradition also of sliding down the hill, but this year it would be possible to only slide in mud..
Well, lets hope, that there will be some snow, when Adelaide is older.
And it means that today is Ash Wednesday and the big Lent is starting.. For us the first day of Lent starts with eating a bunch of whipped cream buns.. :D
Luckily, though, we did not have to eat all of these ourselves, because we got some visitors.. Adelaide got to meet a little friend, who turned just 7 months today!
It's nice to meet with people, who have babies in the same age. I still don't have enough of these type of friends, but hopefully.., with time.
Of course, they did not play together, but actually they both were pretty excited and happy!
And Adelaide, as always, enjoyed some new toys. :)
I guess it's going to still be years, until she actually plays together with other children. For now just have to watch, that they wouldn't harm each other.
But I'm looking forward to having more playdates for her.. If not for her, then for me to get some communication. :D
And we visited our doctor's office today. Adelaide is exactly 9,00 kg! And 72,5 cm tall.
The doctor actually wasn't there, only the nurse. I wonder, if she would have commented something on her weight, as she has gained only 190 g in the last month.. In the same time, babies don't gain that much anymore in this age, I only haven't researched, how much exactly would be ok. Well, she is totally fine, active and happy, and eating well. :)
The other baby today was smaller than our Adelaide, and again I saw, how these small babies are so much more agile.. She, for example, could go from lying on her stomach to sitting position just like that. Impressive! Adelaide only ends up sitting sometimes from standing position.
And, as always, our Adelaide was brave and communicative, and have to keep her back more than anything.. :)
